Grant Guidelines

I. Grants Purposes

  1. To award grants any time during the school year.
  2. To encourage innovative and creative ideas that promise to enrich the curriculum.
  3. To encourage and support collaborative efforts or partnerships among teachers, students, and community members either initially or in the future.
  4. To support major grants that impact, or have the potential to impact, a significant number of students, or have a profound impact on a smaller number of students.
  5. To support grants that benefit future students.
  6. To support grants that explore new teaching practices.
  7. To encourage grants that can be replicated in other Easton schools or classrooms.

II. Application Guidelines

  1. All proposals must be for projects that will benefit Easton public schools.
  2. Projects must take place within the current or following school year depending on time of application.
  3. Project funds may be used for educational materials and supplies, computer hardware and/or software, scientific or mathematical equipment, printing expenses, periodical or internet subscriptions, field trips, and other uses as part of innovative educational experiences not otherwise covered by the School Department.
  4. Grant recipients will be required to complete an evaluation of their projects.

III. Application and Review Procedures

  1. Applications may be for either classroom grants or professional development grants, and may be submitted any time during the school year.
  2. Applicants will be notified by phone of decisions following Grants Committee recommendations and full Board approval.
  3. ELF may fund projects partially or in full.
